This is my 2nd stay at Fortuna. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is nice.
1. The internet speed was not stable, should be improved; 2. Some senior managers at the reception desk seems so serious, seldom smile on their faces

Staff wore their name tags prominently, itself promoting a sense of professionalism in their workings. Guests were treated with good care at check-in counter, without too much fuss. A good value for money stay, if booked on internet.
The electronic buttons for operating the elevator were rather faulty and required a stronger sensory touch or repeated taps of the finger. Probably a result of wear and tear given the traffic of users.

Comfortable rooms with adequate amenities.
The hotel experience was overwhelmingly negative. I was appalled to find out that I had to buy bottled water instead of being offered it for free, despite the high room rate. The refusal of the staff to allow me to have a pear from breakfast outside was absurd and added to my dissatisfaction.

The facilities are impressive, especially the large pool and fitness center. The area felt unsafe for walking, and the room lacked character, making it less appealing for tourists.

Very Singapore. You can get Singapore food in hotel, like carrot cake, fried kway teow, chicken rice, duck rice, hor fun. Singapore newspaper, Straits times, and Singapore news, Channelnewsasia, as well. Or yes, there is also a Singapore icon, the merlion, in front of the hotel.

Unexpected Breakfast Highlights
Woke up delighted by the breakfast spread-everything from delicious pastries to unique local dishes like Chwee Kueh. A perfect start to the day!
The room, although spacious, felt a bit bland and lacked any vibrant character, making it less inviting than I hoped.

It is comfortable to have a free tea/cofee lounge. Toiletries are good. A lot of elevetors.
At Tiffin restaurant prices are in Dongs but a bill is USD. Hotel has its own exchange rate.

Location, brightly lit room, room slippers, cable tv
Will be nice to have a plusher bed and pillows, don't really like the connecting door to the next room, no free internet access and I must pay for it.

The room original booked was not supplied and we had to be moved. Staff often rude and unhelpful. English very poor, especially for hotel pitching itself as a 'business hotel'.
